IT'S A WRAP - 2026
Southern Utah Veterans Home

General Information
The City of Ivins invites Utah resident artists who live in Washington, Iron, Cane, Garfield or Beaver counties to create paintings, drawings, or graphic art to be used for public art wraps on five utility boxes located at the Southern Utah Veterans Home located in Ivins, Utah. The art images will be professionally printed and vinyl wrapped on the five utility boxes.
The artwork should contain elements of two themes:

Southern Utah Veterans Home Theme: Military Patriotism and History

Ivins Public Art Theme: Out of the Desert

Your art submission should be suitable for placement all or a portion of sides of a utility box. Artists may submit art suitable for large boxes, small boxes, or both sizes. Number of images allowed for submission is not limited. Box measurements are as follows:
Measurements of strong box: Utility box 1 near Memorial Park: Utility box 2 front of Veterans:
15" wide by 30" tall - top 36" wide by 22" tall - top 34" wide by 33 1/4" tall - top
29 1/2" tall by 30" wide - sides 36" wide by 24" tall - sides 33" wide by 25 1/4" tall - sides
30" tall by 15" wide - front and back 22" wide by 24" tall - front and back 34" wide by 25 1/4" tall - front and back
Utility box 3 front of Veterans (taller one): Utility box 4 front of Veterans (longest box at the corner):
22" tall by 36 1/4" wide - top 22" wide by 66 1/2" tall - top
36 1/8" tall by 36 1/8" wide - sides 36" tall by 66 1/2" wide - sides
22" wide by 36 1/8" tall - front and back 22" wide by 36 1/4" tall - front and back
Art will be juried by an Art Selection Committee, composed of the Ivins City Arts Commission and Southern Utah Veterans Home. Preference points will be given as follows;

A three-point preference will be given to all Ivins Artist submissions. (An Ivins artist is defined as an artist who is currently a resident of Ivins, maintains a studio in Ivins, or is represented by an art gallery in Ivins.)

A two-point preference will be given to any art which includes representation of Utah’s Triple Deuce Artillery Unit or Navajo Code Talkers.

A two-point preference will also be given to artists who are currently serving in the US military or are US Veterans. You may qualify for more than one preference group.
Artist stipends will be paid at $500 per box, not per artist, if more than one artist contributes to a box.
Submission Timelines:
Artists may submit work during any or all of the following timelines. Some or all of the art may be chosen in each group progression. Should all art be chosen in an early submission group, the call will end.
